I wanted to create a modern lighting piece that focused on texture and movement that was inspired by optical mixture which is the perception of color resulting from a overlapping of colors. I also tried to emulate to create hidden details that aren’t noticeable at first glance.
I emphasized the different patterns of the folds and how they overlapped to ensure that the outcome was an appealing and geometric shape, despite the abstract nature of the product
Although there is no apparent color, the overlapping parts of the fabric overlap where constant parallel lines intersect, integrating optical mixture.
